At Ring, we place great emphasis on employee development. Our “Ring Career Track” process helps each employee grow to his or her greatest potential. The process is based on open communication between employees and managers, and is driven by a continuous cycle of goal setting and performance feedback. Employee development is critical to the success of each individual and to the long term success of our company.

Leadership Skills Training
Ring has implemented a new skills training program with nine separate modules. Participants complete pre-work assignments and develop action plans for applying their learning. Phase one of the program trained managers and additional trainers. Now, the training is conducted throughout the organization.
Health and Wellness
We strive to create awareness of healthy living practices and to encourage employees and their families to adopt and sustain a healthy lifestyle. Encouraging healthy lifestyles and reducing illnesses enhances our employees' lives and increases work attendance while reducing healthcare costs.
Samples of key initiatives:
- Annual company paid physicals
- Smoking cessation programs
- Corporate events including Active for Life Challenge, BlueCross BlueShield Walking Works, and community walks to support charitable organizations
- Local plant events including Special Olympics, Blood Drives, Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Community Wellness Day, and Health Fairs with screenings
- In conjunction with American Heart Association's Start! Walking Program, walking challenges between locations resulted in over 7,300 miles walked in 2011
- Personal Health Coaches provided for employees and spouses
RING has joined with Onlife Health to inspire, engage and guide our employees to make lasting changes in their lives. Dedicated health coaches, support communities and the latest technologies help our employees lose weight, stop smoking, eat healthier meals and much more.
